우리를 귀찮게 하소서 주님!
우리가 너무 우리 자신에 만족해 있을 때,
우리가 너무 작은 꿈을 꾸었기 때문에
우리의 꿈이 쉽게 이루어 졌을 때,
우리가 해변을 끼고 너무 가깝게 항해하여
목적지에 안전하게 도착했을 때,
우리를 귀찮게 하소서 주님!
우리가 너무 많은 것을 소유하여
생명수에 대한 갈증을 상실해 버렸다면,
우리가 이 세상을 너무 사랑하여
영생을 꿈꾸는 것을 잊어버렸다면,
새 땅을 건설하기 위하여 우리가 노력하느라
천국에 대한 소망이 어두워졌다면,
우리를 귀찮게 하소서 주님!
더욱 용감하게 모험하도록, 너무 해변에 가까이 있지
말고 바다 먼 곳으로 가게 하소서.
그리고 우리를 밀어내소서
더 이상 땅이 보이지 않을 때 별을 볼 수 있도록
그리고 소망의 지평선을 보게 해달라고 간구할 수 있도록
우리를 밀어내소서
미래를 위한 힘과 용기와 소망과 사랑을 위해
Disturb us, Lord,
when we are too well pleased with ourselves,
When our dreams have come true because we dreamed too little,
When we arrive safely because we sailed too close to the shore.
Disturb us, Lord, when with the abundance of things we possess,
We have lost our thirst for the water of life;

To venture on wider seas where storms will show your mastery;

And to push us in the future in strength, courage, hope and love.
